Olivia Dean's 'From Me to You' UK Tour

We recently provided a compact audio solution for Olivia Dean’s ‘From Me to You’ truck tour of the UK.

The tour will take place in interesting locations presenting Covid-compliant concerts around the UK throughout August & September.

We provided a pair of Martin Audio XD15 point source speakers, with custom brackets fabricated by Matt Snowball. 

The 3 x PSX sub array provide low frequency reinforcement while also powering the XD15’s, thus eliminating amp racks.

Audio Control is a Digico SD11i hooked up to an iPad, the band use Sennheiser 2000 & Fischer Amps XL IEM packs, with Shure Axient Digital radio mics.

Rehearsals with Jordan Rakei and the BBC 6 Music Festival

We supplied a Digico SD11i and Sennheiser 2000 series IEM package for Jordan Rakei’s rehearsals and the BBC 6 Music Festival. 

Marc Almond at the Royal Festival Hall

We provided a monitor package for Marc Almond’s rehearsals and his show at the Royal Festival Hall.

We supplied a Yamaha CL5 desk with 2 Rio 3224D’s, Martin XE500 wedges and IK42 amplifiers, Sennheiser 2000 series IEM’s and Shure Axient digital radio mics.

Avid S6L-32D added to hire stock.

We have invested in the flagship S6L system from Avid, pictured here in production rehearsals with Massive Attack for the Mezzanine XXI arena tour.

We've added a Soundcraft Vi3000 and 2 x Soundcraft Si Impact compact digital and desks with Soundcraft Mini stage boxes, recently dry-hired on tours with Nerina Pallot and Transviolet.

Sonnox live plug-ins have been added to our VENUE systems.

For active splits, we now have a XTA DS8000 audio distribution system with up to 48 channels available with custom patchable panel from VDC

We have more DPA microphones, having added further D:facto2 vocal microphones with Shure RF adaptors, 4099 instrument kits ad 2011C compact cardioid condensers

Finally, (for the moment!) we can now supply Martin Audio DD6 compact loudspeakers with differential dispersion horns, driven by MA 5.0Q quad 1U power amplifiers

Emma Bunton’s Christmas Show at the Royal Albert Hall, with Will Young and Matt Goss.

We provided a control package for Emma Bunton’s Christmas show at the Royal Albert Hall, featuring guests Will Young and Matt Goss.

We spent two weeks in rehearsals at Sarm Music Bank prior to the show, providing a Digico SD12 at FOH and our Avid S6L-24C on monitors.

The band and guests used multiple mixes of Sennheiser 2000 series IEM and 12 channels of Shure Axient Digital digital radio mics, all fitted with DPA D:facto2 capsules.
Side-fill reinforcement was provided for the dancers using Martin Audio CDD Live-12 and SX118 compact subs.

Clean Bandit: UK, European Festivals, Australia and Far East Tours

British electronic outift Clean Bandit have achieved phenomenal success, including a No. 1 UK single, reaching the US top 10 and culminating in a Grammy for Best Dance Recording for 'Rather Be' in 2015.

CS Audio has provided a monitor package for the Clean Bandit UK tour (pic from Alexandra Palace) Soundcraft Vi4 desk & 20 channels of RF (sennheiser IEMs & Shure UHF-R RF mics, 5 x DPA D:facto vocal mics & URM-1 bodypack receivers.

A ‘B’ system featuring Vi3000 desk was supplied for European festival dates, this was later re-prepped using Avid Profile prior to the Australia/Far East leg of the tour.

Alfie Boe Summer 2015 Tour

We continued working with Alfie Boe across the summer, taking in some of the UK's finest venues including Hampton Court Palace. CS supplied a touring control & monitor system, Avid Profile console at FOH, 2 stage racks for band and orchestra, Midas Pro2 & Pro2C consoles on stage.

Camel European Dates 2015

English Prog Rock heroes Camel returned to the stage in Summer 2015 to complete a 14 date European Tour (England, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands and Poland) which included several headline festival appearances.

Justin Hayward (Moody Blues) UK Tour

Having chalked up nearly fifty years at the peak of the music and entertainment industry, Justin Hayward’s voice has been heard the world over.  Known principally as the vocalist, lead guitarist and composer for the Moody Blues, his is an enduring talent that has helped to define the times in which he worked. Over the last forty-five years the band has sold fifty five million albums and received numerous awards.

CS Audio provided a D&B Q series PA for the UK leg of his 2015 World tour.

Laura Mvula UK, US and European Tours

We continued our work with Laura Mvula, providing a control & monitor package for extensive UK, European & USA touring. Consisting of  Soundcraft Vi1 desks at FOH and monitors, D&B M4 floor monitors and Shure P6 hard-wire systems.

A custom line system was also provided allowing the hard-wire IEM system inputs to be included in the multpin connector of each stage sub-box.

This system has been touring with Laura and Her band internationally throughout the two year touring campaign following the success of the debut album ‘Sing to the Moon’, which has achieved gold sales status in the UK.

Neneh Cherry UK Dates

We recently supplied an audio package for Neneh Cherry dates in London, Manchester and Glasgow. A monitor system consisting of a Soundcaft Vi1 desk with D&B M2 floor monitors, with Shure P6 hard-wire systems for the band.

Prior to this we also used a Midas Pro 1 and DL251 for the warm-up shows, oweing to the small venue dimensions monitors were mixed from the Pro 1 at FOH via a wireless router and mixtender Ipod app.

Paolo Nutini US Tour

We provided a control & monitor system for Paolo Nutini for His North American tour throughout September & October. An Avid Profile was used at FOH and a Midas Pro 2 & DL251 on stage. 8 x D&B M2 wedges with D12 amps were also shipped to the U.S as part of the stage package along with 12 x Sennhesier G3 IEM systems for the band. We also provided systems Paolo earlier on in the year for various touring and promotional dates.

Massive Attack Summer / Autumn Worldwide Festival Tour

A monitor package supplied for Massive Attack’s extensive Summer/Autumn festival and touring schedule, taking in festival shows all over Europe, a headline appearance at Glastonbury’s other stage, Iceland, the Lebanon and on to Mexico City and the USA west coast.

A Soundcraft Vi4 console was specified at the monitor position with a fully loaded 64 channel Vi stage rack, with CSB for additional I.O. The new Realtime rack plug-ins package from Soundcaft/UAD was also put through its paces during the tour.

18 channels of Sennheiser G3 IEM systems were supplied across ‘A” & ‘B’ ranges, with AC3200 Mk2 combiners and A5000CP dome antennas, and additional Shure P6 hard-wire units.

A comprehensive stage system was supplied along with a full mic kit, including

A number of DPA defacto 2 vocal microphones.

Alison Balsom Tour

A compact system was supplied to the recent Alison Balsom concert hall tour.

A D&B Audiotechnik Q1/Q7 PA was supplied with M4 monitors on stage.

A Midas Pro1 desk at FOH and a number of Shure UHF-R RF systems, with UR-1 packs and an assortment of DPA microphones.

Nana Mouskouri

Nana Mouskouri played three shows in September with a a sound system from CS Audio, at the Royal Albert Hall, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, and Manchester Bridgwater Hall.

D&B Q1 was supplied with M4 floor monitors, a Midas Pro 2 at FOH and a Soundcraft Vi1 on monitors.

Neil Sedaka & The Royal Philharmic Orchestra at The Royal Albert Hall

We recently completed our 4th production tour with Neil Sedaka. The first date was at London’s Royal Albert Hall where Neil was accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Our Soundcraft Vi4 was used at FOH with 64 channels of splits, and a Soundcraft Vi1 at the monitor position. 12 x D&B M4 monitors were supplied along with Galaxy hot spots for additional orchestra monitoring.

A large number of DPA IMK4061, 4099 and AKG C414 microphones were supplied from stock for the orchestra mic’ing.
